Return me to the time
when all the lights of the world
made the darkest moment bright,
when all the stares were not for me,
but for my purpose
and all was so very right.
The rewards of a just cause is success, a moment always to be remembered but perhaps never shared, just humility and hope
that as the mind forgets,
such moments will be spared.
And when again
I must perform to satisfy me,
others, or just time and need,
I will slip into my mind
and relive that moment, not in fear,
but in capturing the power to succeed
