How wonderful the day is 

the joy of life and living

is beyond description;

problems will always come and go,

but innate to man

is coping and reaching out 

within each of us

is life’s own prescription.

 

I’ve often wondered about unhappiness; 

for each, there is a different reason; 

suffering to me maybe a joy to others,

especially when life for them

is but a short season.

 

When down

and hopelessly in a state

of mild dejection,

I'm reminded of true pain,

short seasons

and life’s prescription 

 

How wonderful the day is 

the joy of life and living

is beyond description.
