Greater Ellis County Poetry Society is a Thing!

Yes it is true. Refel Rushing has founded the Greater Ellis County Poetry Society and is looking for active members that want to help make it grow into a successful and productive network of poetry enthusiasts. This is a chapter of The Poetry Society of Texas. Membership is $25 and can be done by clicking on this link https://poetrysocietyoftexas.org/join/ . If you live in Ellis County and are a member of the Poetry Society of Texas then you will automatically be added to our chapter as an active member. We have a few board positions open for the right members so get in touch soon. Members will be able to participate in local and national contests that feature cash prizes. You will also have the ability to use Refel Rushing's resources to promote your own poetry and most importantly you will be able to have a great time with some great people twice a month as we meet and share our poetry and appreciation. We will also be hosting poetry days out on Refels Ranch that will consist of communing with nature and then coming together to commune with each other and share our poetry over a bon fire.

Mission Statement: Our goal is to preserve and make available the long-lasting culture and rich history that surrounds poetry. We are people who appreciate the kind of majestic artistry that can only be created with the use of written words.

If you agree with the above statement then you are a perfect member to join the society. If you want to join but are not able to pay the membership costs, message me to see if you qualify for a no cost scholorship.

Help us spread the news and grow as a chapter. The most important thing next to the poetry is that we enjoy ourselves and have a blast.
